Offered is a Elvis Presley Stage-Worn Hawaiian Lei Given to Him by a Fan from the audience. Fans were always handing Elvis items on stage, and he loved being playful with them during these moments. JD Sumner picked this one up and kept later selling it to noted collector Mike Moon for his museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

The accompanying letter from Mike Moon reads in part: "In 1980, J.D. Sumner gave me a trunk with an assortment of items thrown on stage by fans during Elvis Presley's concerts. Over the years, J.D. kept the items that he picked up on stage after the concert's final curtain. Included were 6 necklaces, 5 pairs ladies underwear, 2 ladies garters, 1 furry tie clip, 1 beaded belt, 1 stuffed skunk, 5 stuffed dogs, 2 stuffed bears, 1 of Elvis' water glasses, 2 lei's, 1 large wristband with watch, and 4 fan letters.

These gifts from fans have been on display at the Elvis Museums for over
30 years, and have not been altered in any way.

The undersigned do attest and confirm that from their own knowledge,
that they know the item of personal property described above to be from that collected and used by the late Elvis Presley. The property has been deaccessioned from the collection of the Elvis Presley Museum of Pigeon Forge, TN Affirmed this 26 day of March, 2013. By Mike L. Moon."
