Beckett Encapsulated. Offered is a Franklin D. Roosevelt Signed Partial Document as New York Governor. The document, with its official gold foil seal, was signed on October 24, 1929. Coincidentally, the day was forever known as "Black Thursday," the day the 1929 Wall Street Crash began. Roosevelt was in Albany focusing on state government business, largely unaware that the stock market panic would soon trigger the Great Depression, which he in turn would guide the nation out of during his Presidency. Near Mint condition with a STRONG fountain pen signature.
