Glenn Burke Signed 8x10 Los Angeles Dodgers Promotional Photo notated "1978." Burke was a speedy, athletic outfielder who played four seasons in the Major Leagues from 1976 to 1979, primarily with the Los Angeles Dodgers and briefly with the Oakland Athletics. A fan favorite known for his charisma and strong minor-league performance, he appeared in 225 games, batted .237 with 35 stolen bases, and was on the Dodgers? 1977 World Series team. Sadly, Burke became homeless later in his post-career life and died of complications from AIDS in 1995, at only 43 years old. Glenn was a posthumous inductee of the National Gay and Lesbian Sports Hall of Fame--as a part of their inaugural class--in 2013. Accompanied by LOA from Beckett Authentic. Near Mint condition.
