This iconic image is signed on the reverse in the lower center quadrant "Yours Elvis Presley" with a big, bold signature and salutation. This early promotional photograph was created by Sun Records to promote its new star. Elvis is wearing a shirt, tie and jacket similar (if not the same) to the ones he is wearing in a well-known circa 1954 image that also includes Scotty Moore and Bill Black, who are both wearing Starlite Wranglers cowboy shirts. This same ensemble can also be seen in the image of Elvis, Bob Neal and Sam Phillips signing Elvis" management contract, with the presence of Neal leading one to assume this promotional photo was shot in that same late 1954/early 1955 time period. This early promotional shot of the fast-rising star was used in a plethora of newspapers and advertisements in 1955 and was kept on hand at performances. This was the time when Elvis was being described as one of the "biggest things in the business" and "good-looking as all heck" and this photo certainly confirms those assertions. Accompanied by an original newspaper ad for the concert at which Elvis signed the autograph at the Spring, Texas City Auditorium on April 26, 1955. Our lucky fan has noted "HE IS FINE! Mary Lou and I went to see Elvis with Bounce."

The photo measures 10 by 8 inches. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication. This is perhaps the HIGHEST GRADE EXAMPLE of this early promo photo in existence--it is certainly the nicest one we have ever seen. And the blazing signature on the reverse is as fine an example of Elvis' 1955 autograph a collector could want!! Photo has just the most minor creasing in the lower left corner, but the contrast is bold and the gloss finish is in such well-preserved condition looks like it is almost liquid! STUNNING Near Mint to Mint condition.
