Offered is Joe Montana and Dwight Clark Signed SF 49ers Helmet with "The Catch" Play drawn out across the top of the helmet. In the final minute of the 1981 NFC Championship Game at Candlestick Park, with the San Francisco 49ers trailing the Dallas Cowboys 27-21, Joe Montana rolled right and threw a high, desperation pass toward the back of the end zone. Dwight Clark, leaping high above Dallas defensive back Everson Walls, made an incredible fingertip catch at the back of the end zone for the game-winning touchdown ? forever known simply as "The Catch."
That single play propelled the 49ers to their first Super Bowl victory and marked the beginning of the San Francisco dynasty of the 1980s. It remains one of the most iconic moments in NFL history. Accompanied by COA from JSA. Near Mint condition.
