Offered are six original news service photos featuring New York Yankees Managers Casey Stengel and Joe McCarthy, all of which would be considered Type I photos. The two Yankee skippers have 14 World Series wins between them. The photos included: 1937 "Joe the Giant Killer" Joe McCarthy after 1937 World Series win over the Giants; 1949 Casey Stengel in Yankees Lockerroom celebrating with Gen. Manager George Weiss and co-owners Dan Topping and Del Webb (Bob Olen photo); 1952 Casey Stengel Signing Contract on October 13 just days after leading Yankees to fourth straight World Series win; 1956 Casey Stengle signing contract on October 12 after leading Yankees to World Series win; July 22, 1957, Casey Stengle and Joe McCarthy at the Baseball Hall of Fame, along with 1957 Hall of Fame inductee Sam Crawford; and 1950's Casey Stengel and Joe McCarthy at a black tie formal event (trimmed on sides). All but one of the photos measure 8 x 10 inches, and all present with expected newsroom wear and markings, as well as some edge wear and creasing. Excellent condition with some just lesser.
