The United Press photo is dated July 11, 1956, and maintains its original paper caption, which reads: "Female heartthrob Elvis Presley plants a big kiss on a big woman at Mempis, Tenn. She's Helen Putnam, founder of Fat Girls Anonymous a weight-shedding club. Appearing together at a benefit in their home town, pudgy Ms. Putnam sang 'Caress Me, Presley,' and the rock 'n' roll singer puckered up to oblige." The Philadelphia Inquirer photo measures 8 x 10 inches and presents with expected marks and wear from newsroom use. Some paper loss on the right border but does not affect the image area.
