Offered is Elvis Presley's Owned and Worn "Brooks Leather Sportswear" Motorcycle Jacket and Pants. The late-1960's relic was given to his Producer, Felton Jarvis, after a recording session. 

Founded in Detroit in 1959 by Hungarian immigrant and shoemaker Sandor Weiss, Brooks Leather released its first motorcycle jacket style, the PJ27, that same year. The iconic Style 511 "Road Warrior" cross-zip jacket followed in 1962, establishing the family-run brand as a staple of American biker culture. All of this undoubtedly appealed to Elvis, who had been riding motorcycles from the earliest days of his success in the 1950s, and the offered ensemble would have been just as fitting being worn on his '68 Comeback TV Special!

The accompanying LOA from Jarvis' nephew, Tony Frost, reads:

"Elvis Presley's dark brown leather jacket and pants with Brooks Leather Sportswear clothing label. Elvis wore this outfit and later gave it to my uncle, Felton after he got too hot while wearing it during a recording session.

Felton and Mary Jarvis were my uncle and aunt. This Brooks Leather Sportswear dark brown leather outfit is one of several Elvis Presley items that were left to me including a stage belt, several jackets, a brown leather stage outfit and several other personal items of Elvis Presley's that were given to my uncle during their ten year friendship."

This suit comprises a collarless jacket with two zippered chest pockets, zip and snap closure, and cinching zippers at the wrist, paired with tapered leather trousers with slanted zip pockets and zippers at the ankles. The suit was kept in very good condition by Jarvis-it was stored properly and remains relatively supple to the touch. There is some wear on the pants legs, but the the leather is very soft. Near Mint condition.
