Offered is a 1970 Joey Covington RIAA Gold Record Award for Paul Kantner Jefferson Starship LP Blows Against the Empire. In a highly unusual move, Joey has SIGNED across the front of the award--certainly attesting to the provenance, the award was acquired directly from Covington! The record was certified gold on August 18, 1981, and the plaque reads "Presented to Joey Covington to Commemorate the Sale of More than 500,000 Copies of the Grunt Records Long Playing Record Album 'Blows Against the Empire.'" The award measures 17 x 21 inches. Near Mint condition.
