Encapsulated Beckett Authentic: Offered is a Johnny Cash signed check on his company account, "House of Cash, Inc." The check is written to Herb Newman, and he has endorsed the back. Newman was a songwriter and record label owner. He founded Era Records in 1955 and wrote a number of songs, including "The Wayward Wind" which Cash covered on his TV show. The check is possibly a royalty payment.
